This year's heating oil prices uncertain

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass., September 10, 2012 Leonard Bruso, President of Bay State Fuel Oil in West Springfield said that it is hard to tell where prices will be at the start of the heating season.

He told 22News that everything from the outcome of the presidential election to world events could have an impact.

Bruso did say that there are simple things that people can do now to keep costs down.

“I can’t emphasize enough that tune ups can save you a lot of money, getting your unit properly is the easiest thing a customer can do to save money, regardless of the cost of fuel,” said Bruso.

Pre-paid plans also continue to be popular, as customers try to secure the lowest prices.
